Everyone else has a web site, so I figured, why not me too? On this site I'll
describe myself a little and share my interests and ideas. Neil young what can I say. He has been a part of my life ever since
I first heard his music, I mean out of all the music and musicians of the mid 60s&70s, Neil young's music had the most
impack and meaning and its lasted long. My name is Lawrence Christopher, I am a Chef by trade and for the last 30 years have
been cooking and picking up and putting down the guitar. But every time I picked up the guitar Neil Young came out, mostly
when i was alone though. In the last 4 years I started to go out to jam nights and will never forget the first time I stepped
up on a stage, it was at Massey Hall, no not that one, it is a pool hall in Barrie Ontario. All I had was my old B35 Fender
acoustic. The band was Mason Douglas and the Swinging Chandlers. They miked my guitar, scared and excited I sang out Powder
Finger, Old Laughing Lady and Helpless. When I was done my legs were shaking,I could feel the electricity vibrating in my
whole body. Any way I was hooked.I started going to other jam nights up to 3 times a week just to get up there and play three
or four songs. Some nights after the guys got to know me and the songs, I had an full band some nights, drums,
bass and keys it was unbeleivable, it sounded so great and now iam totaly hooked. This has been going on now for four
years. Now for the last two of the four years i met up with a guy who was hosting a jam night the prize was 100.00 that night
i won, thanks to a very happy young girl who screamed the loudist for me. but i dont think she even seen me perform. There
was an acoustic jam night down the road so off i go to check it out.I have made it my home every tuesday night between 9:00 and 1:00
.I must mention Kelly Davies, because he is part of the reason you are reading this, Kelly Davies and his band The Dirty
Little Swing Thing. I have been watching listening and learning and would like to thank him again here and now for all his
help and suport. Its time for me to do this, for what ever the reasons, it is just happening. There are a lot of people who
have helped me to ("believe in what you do,and you can do anything").Neil Young said that or something like that.I was on
the rust list for the first time and sent out a mesage, the response was a quot from Neil Young saying those words, i thought
that was inspiring. So here we are Teresa (my wife of 25 years) and me putting together a press kit, and a web site thanks
to my 16 year old son Aaron. At 14 he was taking apart and putting together computers so I thought he would be the one to do
the web site, or at least help me get started. And now trying to put it together play anywere I can,so here we go on a nice
slow train ride with Neil.Neil is doing so much lately, Greendale and Prairie Wind and then a movie documentary Old Man, which
I have not seen yet but will, and the latest c.d.War Songs. This is what i love about him his reflections or thoughts can been
heard and felt in his music and words, he shares feelings we all share, fears we all fear,he speaks words we would like to
speak, one day there will come a time when the whole human race will hear the same ,and see the same things and change the
things that we all know are wrong and start to fix them without hesatating time will tell.and more to come. Me I like Neil
Young as a solo artist singing alone with all his sole you can feel it. but he sure can rock with Crazy Horse, and C.S.N.Y.
The time feels right. Thanks to HYPERRUST.org for a steady flow of information, and of cords and tabs. And to all the rusties
that took the time to tab out the songs as they should be.I realy hope to meet anyone who has read this someday when iam playing
somewhere.I put three songs on so you can hear me, one on each page.Hope you like them.
Thanks to all again; Lawrence
Christopher
